Bob's Back. Tempest will mark Dylan's 50th anniversary as a recording artist
Bob Dylan will release his 35th studio album in September, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of his eponymous debut, Columbia Records has announced.
The album, Tempest, features "10 new and original songs", according to the announcement, and follows 2009's Together Through Life - as well as Dylan's mapcap Christmas album, which the release doesn't mention for some reason. Regardless, if the excellent performance theartsdesk caught at Hop Farm Festival earlier this month is anything to go by, 21st-century Dylan remains on fine form.
Tempest is available to preorder now on iTunes and Amazon (US only at this point, it seems). Tracklist as follows.
1. Duquesne Whistle
2. Soon After Midnight
3. Narrow Way
4. Long and Wasted Years
5. Pay In Blood
6. Scarlet Town
7. Early Roman Kings
8. Tin Angel
9. Tempest
10. Roll On John
