Europe's newest arts festival has been announced – in Westport, County Mayo, in the west of Ireland. The inaugural event will take place over the weekend of 23-24 June this year in the grounds of the historic Westport House.

The organisers describe their family-friendly event as “a grown-up festival for music fans who treasure their record collections”, and more than 50 acts will appear on three stages over the two days, including Ray Davies [1], The Waterboys, Seasick Steve [2], Alison Moyet, The Chieftains, Nick Lowe [3], The Dubliners, Marc Almond and Hothouse Flowers.
